Blah... Blog Rebuild!

Out with the old, in with the new! This is WrenBlog v3.0.

The first version of my Weblog started out in mid 2000 as a hodgepodge of hand-edited HTML. Very time consuming and pretty much pointless. I spent more time editing the tags than actual content... not that there was that much content back then. Not that there will be that much content now.

Wetlands Preserve to Close in September

This is pretty sad news: The Wetlands Preserve, a legendary NYC live music club, will close its doors in September. If you never made it to Wetlands, now is the time to check it out. Wetlands helped break many top-notch acts, including Blues Traveler, God Street Wine and Dave Matthews Band.

Vibes Onsite Wireless FTP

Pushing the envelope of both tapergeek and computergeek, members of the etree.org community are attempting what we believe to be the first ever wireless onsite FTP server at this year's Gathering of the Vibes!

If you have a laptop and a wireless card (WiFi/802.11b), you will be able to log into our wireless access point and FTP server, which will be located in the rear of the tapers section. How quickly each set will be tracked and encoded to SHN will depend on how long we have in between sets, and how lazy we will be in the summertime heat.

Jammies 2001 Nominations Announced

Nominations for the second annual Jammy Awards have been announced. I are humbled to say the etree.org community has again been nominated in the "Best Fan Website" category!!!

it... all my phone numbers, addresses, to-do-lists, and such...  well,
that is, until it crashes.
