Update 2/23/2010: I will no longer be involved in the hosting of the Newbie Net online, including this webpage and posting podcasts. See the RRRA website for updates.
The information below is mothballed and is likely to be depricated.
Update 11/15/2009: The *NCPENN* EchoLink conference server and IRLP reflector 9058 continue to be offline due to software configuration issues on their server. I am looking for a new Echolink/IRLP bridge.
The Ray Pickens / Leon Ingerick, Jr. Memorial Newbie Net, hosted by Paul, K2FX, is an interactive roundtable discussion that takes place Sundays at 9:15 EST Eastern and covers Amateur Radio technology and practices, including radios, antennas and everything in between.
The Newbie Net originates on the K2RRA 146.880MHz Amateur Radio repeater in Rochester, New York and can be heard live via a growing network of Amateur Radio repeaters across New York State and on the Internet via EchoLink on the *NCPENN* conference server, IRLP on reflector number 9058.
Anyone listening to the Newbie Net in listen-only mode is encouraged to send comments to Paul K2FX via email: usafpilot@rochester.rr.com
Previous episodes of the Newbie Net are available both as a Podcast via iTunes, or you may browse the show archives and stream via this website. The Newbie Net is recorded live on Sunday night and posted for online listening the following Monday or Tuesday.
We welcome and encourage your contributions, so please connect to *NCPENN* or K2RRA-R via Echolink or IRLP reflector 9058 at around 9pm Sundays and join in the fun!
